Isayama Genki: Dolly

2024年10月31日~12月1日にhakari contemporaryで開催された、諫山元貴個展「Dolly」の記録集。

ポケットに収まるペンギン・クラシックスサイズの本体に、箔押しを施した繊細なグラシン紙のカバーを重ねています。皺や汚れといった偶発的な痕跡が、複製物としての書籍に一冊ごとの個別性を与えます。

テキストは、バタイユ研究者の井岡詩子氏による「崩れゆくドリーとともに」と、本展キュレーターであり愛知県美術館学芸員の鵜尾佳奈氏による「アンドロイドはクローン羊の夢を見るか？」の二編を収録し、いずれも日英併記で掲載しています。

This is the exhibition catalogue for Dolly, a solo exhibition by Genki Isayama, held at Hakari Contemporary from October 31 to December 1, 2024.

The publication is produced in a pocket-sized Penguin Classics format and wrapped in a delicate glassine paper cover with foil stamping. Creases, marks, and other incidental traces lend each copy a sense of individuality, introducing singularity into what is otherwise a reproducible object.

The catalogue includes two critical essays: With Dolly, Falling Down by Utako Ioka, a scholar of Georges Bataille, and Do Androids Dream of Clone Sheep? by Kana Uo, curator of the exhibition and curator at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art. Both texts are presented in Japanese and English.
